The good folks down at GSD&M in Austin, Texas, tapped us to create a series of commercials for the PGA TOUR's World Golf Championships. Beginning in December, we were tasked with compiling highlights of the world's best golfers, mixed with a little of our own footage, to create dynamic showcases of patriotism and national identity for an international audience.
The work was fast and furious, but lead designer Cameron Pierron and his team drifted through these spots in record time while we coordinated a small shoot at a local golf course to help fill in the gaps. Combined with the sights and sounds of the players' respective countries, these elements will ultimately culminate in multiple versions of advertisements for the Accenture Match Play Championship, Bridgestone Invitational, and Cadillac Championship airing all over the world.
Not bad for a bunch of people who don't know anything about golf.
